Russian tycoons flee war risks, turn to New Zealand
According to media reports, Russia's wealthy elite are showing interest in New Zealand as a safe haven amid rising fears of potential global conflicts, particularly World War III. Demand for homes equipped with bunkers has seen a sharp increase.
It is reported that interest in real estate in this country, viewed as a "safe country" recently, has nearly tripled. The highest demand is for homes in the cities of Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch.
Experts note that housing prices in these cities have also become significantly more expensive accordingly. Property values currently range from $300,000 to $2.5 million. In some cases, homes with underground bunkers and autonomous energy and water supply are particularly sought after.
Observers believe this situation is linked to global geopolitical instability, security concerns, and future uncertainties. Therefore, individuals with high financial capabilities are trying to prepare backup "shelters" in peaceful and stable regions, far from potential dangers, for themselves and their families.
Currently, analysts emphasize that such a trend could also impact the global real estate market, not ruling out further price increases in some countries.
