Full paid parking rollout expected in July 2025
Paid parking will begin operating in test mode this March in Tashkent, Autostrada.uz reported. On March 12, during a briefing at the Tashkent city hall, a representative from “Tashkent Invest” shared details on how the new paid parking system will be organized in the capital.

More than 200,000 paid parking spaces are planned across Tashkent. The system aims to reduce traffic congestion and increase average driving speed from 37 km/h to 42 km/h.

In the first phase, 86 parking zones will open, accommodating around 13,000–14,000 vehicles. The pilot launch will begin in March in the Mirabad and Yakkasaray districts. A full-scale rollout is expected in July 2025.

Parking fees will vary: 5,000, 8,000, 10,000, or 12,000 UZS per hour. The maximum rate, approved by the Ministry of Economy and Finance, is 30,000 UZS.

For instance, 250 parking spaces will be set up on Said Baraka Street, expected to reduce congestion by 18% and boost average speed.

Payment will be monitored through surveillance cameras, inspectors with tablets, and patrol vehicles. Notably, fines for unpaid parking will only be enforced starting in 2026.
