South Korean Army plans to integrate Hyundai robots

The South Korean military is considering a strategic partnership with Hyundai Motor due to the country's declining number of soldiers. Seoul is attempting to address the personnel shortage by increasing investments in AI-based unmanned systems. This is reported by Ixbt.com reports .
According to the Ministry of Defense, the parties are negotiating the development of "high-tech and science-based armed forces." The specific details and terms of the partnership have not yet been agreed upon.
The army plans to use robotics primarily for non-combat tasks such as surveillance, reconnaissance, and logistics. This is intended to save human resources and increase the efficiency of military operations.
Potential technologies include Boston Dynamics' four-legged Spot robots, Hyundai's four-wheeled MobED droid, and X-ble Shoulder exoskeletons. Hyundai representatives have so far declined to comment on these reports.
