Botir Zokirov, one of our country's beloved artists, left an indelible mark in the history of Uzbekistan’s culture. To immortalize his name, an important decision has been made. According to the presidential decree, several large-scale projects will be implemented to widely promote the rich legacy of the great singer and actor Botir Zokirov.
According to the decree:
1. A memorial museum named after Botir Zokirov will be established in Tashkent. The museum will house valuable exhibits, archival documents, and personal belongings related to his creativity, life, and stage career. This place will serve not only as a historical center but also as a source of inspiration.
2. A state scholarship named after Botir Zokirov will be introduced. This scholarship is expected to become a great source of encouragement for talented and promising young artists. Its main goal is to discover and support new talents in the field of pop art.
3. Starting from 2026, an international competition in the field of pop music will be held every two years. This prestigious contest will help preserve Botir Zokirov’s name on an international scale. Young performers from various countries are expected to participate.
4. A feature film dedicated to Botir Zokirov’s life and creative work will be shot. Through the film, viewers will have the opportunity to become more familiar with his artistic path, personal life, and contributions to the arts.
These initiatives aim to further strengthen Botir Zokirov’s name in the world of art and instill his works into the consciousness of the younger generation. This is considered an important step in elevating the value of our culture not only nationally, but also internationally.
