The short list of the Booker Prize for 2025 has been published. This was reported by the organizing committee.
The jury was chaired by Irish writer Roddy Doyle, who won the Booker Prize in 1993. According to their information, six of the 153 works were selected.
The shortlist includes: Ben Markovitz's "The Rest of Our Lives," Susan Choi's "The Lamp," Katie Kitamura's "Listening," Andrew Miller's "The Earth in Winter," David Sale's "Media," and Kieran DeSai's "The Loneliness of Sonny and Sonny."
Three writers entered the shortlist for the first time. Miller and Saleigh were previously nominated. Desai won the Booker Prize in 2006.
The winner will be announced at a ceremony in London on November 10. The author of the best novel will receive £50,000.
Recall that the Booker Prize, established in 1969, is one of the most prestigious international awards in the field of literature.
