Animated film "City of Animals 2" officially set a world record

When Oscar nominees were announced in Hollywood, a huge boost was also recorded at the box office: "Animal City 2" grossed $1.711 billion worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing animated film in the history of animation.
How the record was updated
Previously, the animation leader was "Puzzle 2" - its total revenue was recorded at around $1.698 billion. "Animal City 2" crossed this very threshold and installed a new "plank."

At the same time, the absolute (among all films) leadership is still maintained in "Nechja 2" - according to Box Office Mojo, its world box office reached $2.259 billion. That is, "City of Animals 2" is #1 in animation, but there's still a "king" in the overall ranking.
What other movies are doing at the box office
In the horror genre, the pace isn't that high: "Part II Bones Temple After 28 Years" Box Office According to the controversy, it grossed $12.5 million in the US during its opening week (very close to "13 million" in the text), while the total world box office revenue is around $30.3 million.
For comparison, Deadline wrote that the first part closed its debut quite high: it showed a start at approximately $30 million on weekends.

Another big player - "Avatar Flame and Ash": Box Office Mojo lists his total revenue as $1.329 billion.
The conclusion is simple: the animation market is now a "non-stop train" - records are being broken one after another. Now there's one intrigue: who will lift this board again next season.
