Minister of Culture Ozodbek Nazarbekov commented on the controversy surrounding the opinions expressed by artists regarding their attitude to taxes.
He said that discussions on the tax system have been misinterpreted, demonstrating that some artists do not have sufficient knowledge in this regard.
The minister noted that paying taxes is the obligation of every citizen, and there should be no "I will not pay" approach to this issue.
In his opinion, there can be a discussion not about refusing to pay taxes, but about its amount and procedure.
Nazarbekov also noted that representatives of all sectors, including artists, pay taxes in accordance with current legislation.
