US imposes sanctions on Iranian aviation sector
The U.S. Department of the Treasury has announced an expansion of its sanctions against Iran. The new restrictions target eight Iranian citizens and four companies operating in Iran and the United Arab Emirates. Additionally, two Boeing 777-200ER aircraft belonging to Mahan Air have been included in the sanctions.
The U.S. Department of the Treasury has announced a further expansion of existing sanctions against Iran.
The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) issued an official statement regarding the matter.
According to the report, the new restrictions have been imposed on eight Iranian citizens, as well as four companies operating in Iran and the United Arab Emirates.
Furthermore, two Boeing 777-200ER aircraft belonging to Mahan Air were also included in the sanctions list.
