In honor of the 250th anniversary of American independence, new-design passports are being planned. According to Time magazine, this special series will feature the portrait of current president Donald Trump.
According to the new design, Trump's image and his golden signature will appear on the inner front cover of the passport. The back pages will feature scenes from artist John Trumbull's "Declaration of Independence."
It has been announced that such passports will primarily be issued through a special agency in Washington, D.C. Documents processed in other locations or online will retain the standard appearance.
Additionally, in honor of the anniversary, $100 bills are also planned to feature the president's signature. Furthermore, the initiative to mint a 24-carat gold coin featuring Trump's image has been approved.
At this point, it is not yet clear how many copies of the new passports will be produced.
