President Shavkat Mirziyoyev delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of the world-renowned international forum "From Poverty to Prosperity," held in Namangan. More than 30 international organizations and about 200 well-known experts are participating in this prestigious forum.
As the head of state noted, the "From Poverty to Prosperity" program, covering seven priority areas, has been implemented in the country. The main essence of this program is not just the temporary employment of low-income people, but the creation of permanent jobs for them, providing them with a stable and uninterrupted source of income.
According to the President, a favorable business environment has been created in the country, and over the past eight years, more than 700 thousand entrepreneurs have established their stable activities. This is a manifestation not only of economic growth, but also of social responsibility.
"It is gratifying that the state creates conditions for entrepreneurship, and entrepreneurs, taking on social responsibility, closely assist in providing employment and income for representatives of the needy. Thanks to such effective cooperation, more than 270,000 representatives of poor families were provided with permanent jobs this year alone," said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Furthermore, cooperation with international organizations and major financial institutions is actively continuing in the country to reduce poverty and increase household incomes. In particular, the importance of projects worth 5 billion dollars, implemented jointly with the Islamic Development Bank, aimed at improving living conditions in rural areas, building roads and infrastructure, and expanding medical and educational services, was emphasized.
Such programs, as experts note, not only improve the daily life of the population, but also serve as a solid foundation for the development of society as a whole in the future.
