Meta remains the largest taxpayer company in Uzbekistan, UZ24.uz reported. In the period from January to September of this year, 73 foreign companies providing electronic services paid a total of 124.8 billion soums in taxes.
This figure is 44 percent higher compared to the same period last year. 93 percent of the paid taxes are accounted for by only 10 major companies.
Meta ranks first, paying 35.2 billion soums. The following places are taken by Apple – 35.1 billion soums and Google – 31.2 billion soums. OpenAI, Booking.com, TikTok, Netflix, Acca, Zoom, and Adobe are also on the list.
According to Article 281 of the Tax Code, foreign legal entities providing electronic services must submit a report and make payments within 20 days after each quarter.
