Uzbekistan significantly increases imports of Russian pasta

Exports of Russian pasta products significantly increased in the first nine months of 2025. According to the Federal Export Center, the country supplied pasta worth 154 million dollars to foreign markets — a 21 percent increase compared to last year.

As usual, neighboring countries lead among the main buyers. Belarus holds first place with a 35 percent share, having purchased 54 million dollars’ worth of products during the year. This figure is 43 percent higher than in the same period last year.

Kazakhstan has also maintained strong demand — imports amounted to 36 million dollars. Although the growth rate is not large, there is still a one-percent increase.

Uzbekistan completes the top three, having increased its import volume by 19 percent and purchasing pasta worth 16 million dollars. Stable demand in the country indicates growing interest in Russian products.

In the export structure, the largest share belongs to unpackaged pasta, accounting for about 63 percent of total revenue. Pasta made without eggs ranks second with a 32-percent share.

According to Ilya Ilyushin, head of the Federal Agroexport Center, the high demand for pasta products, Russia’s modern production capacity, and the continuous renewal of product varieties contribute to further expanding export potential.
