The Central Bank has issued an instruction to commercial banks and payment organizations to implement a mandatory "specify transfer purpose" requirement for transactions made via mobile applications.
From now on, when making a P2P transfer, users will be required to select the purpose of the transfer from a predefined list. This list includes 16 main categories such as payment for goods, debt repayment, family transfers, charity, and others. For instance, selecting the "For gratuity" option will record the transfer as a tip.
The new system is expected to ensure the transparency of transfers and assist in the regulation of economic processes.
