Teething in children is an important stage in their development. This process usually begins around 6 months of age, but each child experiences this phase at their own pace. The first teeth typically emerge in the lower front at 6-7 months. The next step is the appearance of the upper front teeth at 8-9 months, followed by the upper lateral teeth at 9-11 months.
One of the most important teeth for children is the sharp molars. These appear at 16-20 months, and during this time, children often become more irritable. At 12-15 months, the lower small molars and upper incisors begin to emerge.
Children’s teeth are fully formed by 24-30 months, when the large molars appear. At this stage, children begin to explore new abilities with a full set of teeth.
Frequent teething provides many benefits for children, and extra attention should be paid to their dental health.
