Uzbekistan and South Korea are raising cooperation in the medical field to a new stage. During the visit of the Ministry of Health delegation to Seoul, a number of important agreements were reached on cooperation between doctors of the two countries in modern directions.
According to the information, the delegation became closely acquainted with the activities of Bundang Hospital of Seoul National University, Inje University, Changwon National University, Yonsei University, as well as a number of research centers. At the meetings, it was planned to implement joint projects in such areas as robotic surgery, oncology, telemedicine, digital medicine, and medical staff training.
In addition, within the framework of the visit, participation in international conferences and discussion of joint educational programs were noted. In particular, the issues of nurse training, advanced technologies for early detection of stroke, and digitalization of emergency medical systems were presented.
One of the most important news was the agreement reached with the Korea Foundation for International Healthcare (KOFIH). According to it, every year 20 medical specialists from Uzbekistan will be trained free of charge in South Korea according to international standards. This agreement will not only improve the qualification of doctors but also allow the introduction of modern practices into the country’s healthcare.
The Korean side also announced its readiness to further expand joint programs in the healthcare sector in 2026–2028. Specialists emphasize that this cooperation will open new opportunities in the medicine of our country and bring the qualification of doctors to an international level.
