Ammunition found in luggage at Tashkent airport
At Tashkent International Airport, customs officers discovered bullets in the luggage of a passenger arriving from New York, Upl.uz reported.

The incident occurred at the "Toshkent-Aero" customs complex during routine baggage inspection using an X-ray scanner.

Suspicious items were noticed, prompting a detailed inspection involving independent specialists. They found three 7.6×39 mm rounds among the passenger’s personal belongings, which are intended for use in firearms.

After the discovery, the information was handed over to law enforcement authorities, and an investigation is currently underway.

Authorities are determining how the ammunition ended up in the luggage and the intent behind bringing it into Uzbekistan. The identity of the passenger has not been disclosed, but it is known he arrived from the USA.

Customs officials emphasized that importing any kind of weapons or ammunition into Uzbekistan requires prior authorization.
