Charter flight organized for deportation of Uzbeks from the US

On April 30, a special charter flight from New York to Tashkent will be organized to deport Uzbek citizens from the United States, reports NOVA24.​

According to Uzbekistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the flight is arranged within the framework of bilateral agreements and is intended for citizens who are illegally residing in the US, particularly those who have violated visa regulations or overstayed their legal residency.​

The repatriation process will be conducted based on principles of humanity and legality, ensuring a dignified and safe return of citizens to their homeland. The organization of the flight is carried out in cooperation with the consular and migration services of both countries, in compliance with the laws of Uzbekistan and the United States.​

Previously, on April 3, US Ambassador to Uzbekistan Jonathan Henick addressed Uzbeks illegally residing in the US, urging them to voluntarily return home, noting that otherwise, they may face deportation. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
