Uzbekistan to monitor child begging activities

Uzbekistan to monitor child begging activities
Uzbekistan will implement measures to prevent children from being involved in begging activities. This was reported by UPL.uz. An analysis conducted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Agency for Social Protection, and the Office of the Children's Ombudsman revealed alarming trends in the involvement of minors in begging. Often, children are forced into this by their own parents, who face employment difficulties and lead troubled lifestyles.

To address this issue, "Inson" centers will operate nationwide. These institutions will provide comprehensive support to families in difficult life situations. Center staff will strictly monitor to ensure that children do not return to begging.

The authorities intend to strengthen support for such families by providing opportunities for social adaptation and improving their living standards. Special attention will be given to ensuring children's unhindered access to quality education, which is a key factor for their full development and prosperous future.
