Two detained in Yunusabad for promoting drug-related ads: sentenced to 15 days
In Yunusabad district of Tashkent city, two individuals were detained by law enforcement officers for illegally distributing drug advertisements. This was reported by the press service of the Tashkent City Main Department of Internal Affairs.

According to the report, these individuals were placing flyers and banners promoting a Telegram channel involved in drug sales. They posted the ads on poles and walls in various city locations, especially in high-traffic areas, aiming to attract public attention.

During a swift investigation, the person who printed the advertisements was also identified and questioned.

“They contacted me via Telegram, told me there was a banner with the phrase ‘work in Russia,’ and asked for the price. Later, they asked for my address and sent two people to pick up the banners,” explained the person who printed the materials.

Based on the Article 56-2 of Uzbekistan’s Administrative Responsibility Code, official documents were prepared. The Yunusabad district court reviewed the case and sentenced the violators to 15 days of administrative arrest.

Tashkent law enforcement urged citizens to remain vigilant about the consequences of such illegal activities and emphasized that efforts to combat drug distribution are ongoing.
