A person who promised the “American Dream” for 150 thousand US dollars was detained in Samarkand
The State Security Service of Uzbekistan, in cooperation with the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the Prosecutor General's Office, conducted an operational operation in Tashkent.

In this case, a citizen living in the city of Samarkand trusted a foreign citizen and said that he would send him and 4 family members to work in the United States through Turkey for 30 thousand US dollars each, for a total of 150 thousand US dollars. Then, he was detained while receiving 15 thousand US dollars in advance for preparing visa documents through official acquaintances.

In another case, a foreign citizen temporarily residing in the capital trusted another foreign citizen and said that he could prepare fake British passports for him. Then, he demanded a total of 25 thousand US dollars in exchange for sending them to the United States through Turkey and the United Arab Emirates using these fake passports.

As a result of the operational operations, this citizen was detained while receiving 12,500 US dollars in advance. Also, fake passports and ID cards were seized from his apartment as material evidence.

Criminal cases have been initiated in both cases under Article 168, Part 4, Clause “a” and Article 28,211, Part 3, Clause “a” of the Criminal Code, and investigation is underway.
