
Tashkent will host another major sporting event on Saturday, June 8 - the "Youth Cup" cycling marathon. The capital's Main Department of Internal Affairs informed the public about this.
As part of the event, in order to ensure public safety and traffic order, traffic will be temporarily suspended on a number of central streets from 6:00 to 9:00 in the morning.
The areas where the road will be temporarily closed are as follows:
- Abai Street: from the intersection of Abdulla Qodiriy Street to Alisher Navoiy Street;
- Botir Zokirov Street: from Alisher Navoiy Street to the "Uzbekistan" metro station;
- Afrosiyob Street: from the "Uzbekistan" metro station to the intersection of Nukus Street;
- Nukus Street: from Afrosiyob Street to Fergana Road;
- Abdulla Qodiriy Street: from Fergana Road to Abai Street.
Due to possible traffic restrictions on these roads, drivers are advised to review their travel plans in advance and use detours.
The capital's Department of Internal Affairs also announced that special control groups will be involved to ensure the safety of all participants and passengers during this event.
