Man scammed in Tashkent over car installment

In Tashkent, a man fell victim to a scam during a car purchase on installment, reported upl.uz. A resident of Shaykhontohur district contacted law enforcement, reporting a $13,370 loss.

The scammer posed as a company director selling cars in installments and promised a Tracker-2 model. After receiving the advance payment, he disappeared with the money and delivered nothing.

A criminal case has been opened under Uzbekistan's “Fraud” article. An investigation is ongoing to determine links to similar crimes.
