A road traffic accident involving a child in the city of Tashkent has caused deep concern among the public. According to the Road Traffic Safety Service of the Tashkent City Police Department, a three-year-old child was hit by a car while running across the road.
According to official information, the incident occurred on July 8 around 13:30 on Kukcha Darvoza Street in the Shaykhontokhur district. The driver, F.X., born in 1997, was driving a Tico brand vehicle when he hit pedestrian A.Sh., born in 2022, who suddenly ran out onto the road at an unmarked crossing.
The event happened unexpectedly, and the child fell to the ground. Witnesses quickly called for medical assistance. Shortly after, doctors provided first aid to the child and took him to the hospital.
Although the exact nature of the child’s injuries was not reported, doctors assessed his condition as stable. Nevertheless, the incident itself, especially because it involved a small child, sparked serious public discussion.
Currently, officials from the Tashkent City Traffic Safety Department are conducting an investigation into the case. It has been reported that they are studying the exact causes of the accident, the direction of the vehicle, where the child came from, and the condition of traffic signs at the scene.
Crossing the road in an unmarked area is dangerous both for pedestrians and drivers. Children are an especially active group of road users who cannot fully control their behavior. Therefore, the environment and road conditions around children demand extra responsibility.
Such incidents are an important lesson not only for drivers, but also for parents, guardians, and society as a whole. Every child must grow up in a safe environment. Leaving children unattended on busy streets and not teaching them road safety rules can lead to tragic consequences.
Traffic safety authorities propose placing special signs, barriers, and speed limits near areas frequented by children. Parents are also advised not to let their children go outside unsupervised.
Tico-type compact vehicles are commonly driven within cities. Although they are considered technically simple and maneuverable, in such situations they too can become dangerous weapons.
Every driver must be especially cautious when seeing children, reduce speed, and be prepared for sudden movements. A child may behave unpredictably at any moment, which requires maximum alertness from the driver.
So far, the Tico driver has not been charged, but legal action may be taken based on the results of the investigation. However, this incident involving a child has once again sent a clear signal to society: “Be careful on the road.” Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
