Baby born on board Uzbekistan Airways plane

On Saturday, July 19, a baby was born on board a Uzbekistan Airways plane, Kursiv.media reported. The child was delivered during the Istanbul — Tashkent (HY282) flight.

During the flight, one of the passengers went into premature labor. Fortunately, there were two doctors on board.

According to Uzbekistan Airways’ press service, the cabin crew showed great professionalism while assisting the doctors. The flight captain decided to land in Urgench, where the family and newborn were met by medical staff.

The airline expressed gratitude to the captain, the cabin crew, and the doctors.

A similar incident happened earlier this year — on a Tashkent to New York flight, the captain landed in Iceland so that the mother and child could be taken to a local hospital. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
