On July 20, in the afternoon, an unexpected fire occurred in the Birlik neighborhood of Uchtepa district, Tashkent city. This emergency situation caused serious concern among passengers and local residents.

According to the Tashkent City Emergency Department, fire and rescue teams quickly arrived at the scene. They swiftly brought the fire under control and prevented it from spreading.

Preliminary investigative actions revealed that the fire broke out in a route 64 bus belonging to the 18th motor depot of the city’s transport system. Before the incident, the bus was operating on its scheduled route.

Due to the fire, the bus was almost completely burned. According to witnesses, the entire cabin was charred, and the front part of the bus was severely damaged by fire. Because the passengers and the driver followed safety protocols and evacuated on time, no one was injured. The Emergency Department officially confirmed this.

The exact causes are not yet officially known, but preliminary assumptions suggest the fire might have been caused by technical malfunction.

Traffic safety officers and engineers also worked at the scene. Currently, the technical condition of the city's transportation fleet is being re-inspected.

Such incidents once again highlight the importance of safety in public transport and the need for preventive measures. It is emphasized that every participant in road traffic must act with responsibility.
