What seemed like a simple situation in Kokand led to serious consequences. On August 5, in the "Obod" mahalla, a dispute arose between two men over a parking spot. This became known on August 6 through videos circulated on social media.
Interestingly, the dispute initially began as a verbal argument but soon escalated into a physical fight. Witnesses to the incident did not stand aside and tried to stop the scuffle. Several individuals rushed to separate the fighting parties, thereby preventing the situation from escalating further.
The Fergana Regional Department of Internal Affairs issued an official statement regarding the incident. According to the statement, both men inflicted physical injuries on each other, and such actions are considered a threat to public order. Administrative charges were filed against both participants under Article 183 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan (minor hooliganism).
According to this article, individuals who behave indecently in public places and disturb others’ peace can be punished with up to 15 days of administrative arrest. Thus, a dispute over a regular parking spot, if not handled wisely, can lead to loss of freedom.
It should be noted that recently the number of such conflicts on roads and parking areas has been increasing. This highlights the importance of strengthening public respect for the law and for one another.
Therefore, fellow citizens are urged to approach any situation not with aggression, but with kindness and patience. A few minutes of anger can lead to major life problems.
