94 million soums recovered from restaurant for illegally using the "Uzum" brand

A restaurant was found illegally using a logo similar to “Uzum” in the catering sector, the Intellectual Property news service reported. According to the information, “F.T.” LLC used a sign resembling the trademarks “Uzum tezkor” and “Uzum food” without authorization.

“Uzum tezkor” LLC filed a lawsuit seeking damages. The court ruled that “F.T.” LLC must pay 75 million sums in compensation, and with state duties and other costs included, the total amounts to 94 million sums.

The Ministry of Justice urged entrepreneurs to register their brands and to report any cases of illegal use via the hotline “1008” or the email [email protected].
