A limited liability company in Samarkand has been caught illegally consuming electricity on a large scale, according to the regional office of “Uzenergoinspeksiya.”
During the inspection, it was revealed that the company’s equipment, with a capacity of 34 kW, was connected to the power grid bypassing the meter. As a result, the consumed electricity was not recorded, causing significant financial damage.
Experts calculated that the damage caused to the electricity supply company amounted to 2 billion 680 million soums. This figure clearly illustrates the scale of the illegal connection.
Law enforcement agencies are currently conducting a pre-investigation check into the incident. Authorities stated that those responsible will face legal consequences.
