A large-scale violation was identified in the Navoi region. During an inspection conducted by the territorial administration of "Uzenergoinspektsiya," it was revealed that the sports complex "B.V.U.," located in the Navbakhor district, was illegally using natural gas.
During the inspection, it was revealed that the sports complex was illegally connected to gas supply networks in violation of legal requirements. As a result of studying this situation, according to preliminary estimates, the gas supply company suffered damage of more than 1 billion soums.
Law enforcement agencies are conducting a pre-investigation check on this fact. Currently, the exact procedure for the violation, the degree of involvement of responsible officials of the sports complex, and the issue of compensation for the damage caused are being studied.
Energy specialists emphasize that the illegal use of strategic resources, such as natural gas, is not only economic damage, but also a serious threat to security. Because illegal connections can cause malfunctions in gas networks and lead to fires or explosions.
Also, according to the legislation, the illegal consumption of energy resources is a serious offense, and for such actions, financial fines, the obligation to compensate for material damage, and in some cases, criminal liability are established.
