On September 8, 2025, a tragic incident occurred in the construction area of the Dumbirobod City residential complex, located on Tirsakobod Street in the Chilanzar district of Tashkent. During the installation process, the construction crane tilted and fell to the ground.
The Committee for Industrial, Radiation and Nuclear Safety officially stated that technical requirements were not fully met during the installation of the tower crane. According to preliminary studies, due to the crane's support legs not being firmly fixed to the foundation, it lost its balance during the installation of the next section.
For this very reason, the two support parts of the crane were lifted, and the entire structure collapsed to the ground with its heavy mass. The 25-year-old operator, a hired worker L.A., who was in the crane cabin at the time of the incident, died from a severe blow.
At the same time, two 21-year-old workers participating in the installation work - I.K. and M.A. - also received serious injuries and were hospitalized. They are currently receiving medical attention.
Following the incident, a special commission was formed with the participation of specialists from the Tashkent City Department of the Committee for Industrial, Radiation and Nuclear Safety. The commission is engaged in a thorough study and technical analysis of the causes of the incident.
