In Tashkent, a crime committed with cruelty towards animals shocked the public. According to the animal protection society “Mehr va Oqibat,” a Chinese man locked a cat in a box and poured boiling water over it.

According to the information, on the night of September 16, a woman contacted animal rights defenders, reporting the cruelty committed by her neighbor — a citizen of China. According to her, the man first poured boiling water from a teapot, and then from a five-liter container onto the cat locked in the box. In addition, to prevent the cat from escaping, heavy objects were placed on top of the box.
Activists’ demand
Animal rights activists reported the incident to the relevant authorities — the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Embassy of China in Uzbekistan. They demand that this person be brought to justice under the law and that, possibly, the issue of his deportation from the territory of Uzbekistan be considered.
