Illegal crypto trading exposed in Namangan

Two individuals exchanging crypto-assets worth 2.2 billion soms illegally were detained in Namangan, the regional Internal Affairs Department reported.

According to the information, a 24-year-old resident of Kosonsoy district traded on the Binance platform without a license. From March to May this year, he conducted 35 transactions worth 542 million soms. An iPhone 11 was seized as evidence.

Also, a 37-year-old resident of Norin district was detained for conducting 35 illegal operations worth a total of 1.7 billion soms from May to November. A criminal case was initiated under Article 278-8 of the Criminal Code regarding their case.
