According to the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change, 367 vehicles were detected in the capital for 20 days emitting harmful substances into the atmosphere exceeding the established norm.
According to the data, from September 10 of this year to the present, a total of 26,900 vehicles have undergone a special inspection in Tashkent.
During the inspection, it was noted that 367 vehicles in the city are releasing harmful emissions into the air at a significantly higher level than the norm. For this reason, administrative penalties were applied to the drivers of these vehicles for gross violation of state standards.
According to the Department of Ecology, the second stage of the "Clean Air" month is currently actively underway in the capital and will last until October 10.
It should be recalled that it was previously reported that the activities of more than 20 manufacturing enterprises that pollute the environment were temporarily suspended in the Navoi region.
According to experts, such measures are important as a necessary and timely step for protecting public health and maintaining clean city air.
