Uzbek children left without parental care in Russia have been repatriated

Six minors from Uzbekistan, left without parental care in St. Petersburg, Russia, have been repatriated. This was reported by the "Dunyo" news agency.

It is noted that the return of the children was carried out with the support of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan and relevant agencies. The working group worked for 10 days to determine the legal status of the children and to process the necessary documents.

The children were initially placed in social rehabilitation centers and the "Transit" social shelter in St. Petersburg. According to reports, one of the children had been living with his father for three years, separated from his mother. During the investigation, it was established that the child was illegally taken from his mother, and the social conditions at his place of residence posed a threat to his health.

The Consulate General under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other responsible organizations ensured the safe return of the children. Special certificates were issued for them, and they were escorted home on the "Saint Petersburg - Tashkent" flight.

Officials stated that they acted taking into account the norms of international law and the interests of children during this process.
