In the Andijan region, the driver of a Nexia-3 car hit two schoolchildren, the press service of the regional traffic police reported.
According to the information, on October 12, 2025, at approximately 2:30 PM, a traffic accident occurred at the 343rd kilometer of the A-373 international highway, which passes through the "Qurama" neighborhood of Andijan district.
The driver, S.R., born in 1969, while driving along the "Bogishamol - Jalalkuduk" route, hit a minor pedestrian, N.Y., and N.I., who were crossing at an unregulated pedestrian crossing.
As a result of the incident, one of the pedestrians, N.I., was injured and hospitalized in the Andijan branch of the Republican Scientific Center for Emergency Medical Care. The second pedestrian, N.Y., sustained minor injuries.
The Andijan District Department of Internal Affairs is currently conducting a pre-trial investigation into the incident. The Road Safety Department urges residents to exercise caution and ensure traffic safety at pedestrian crossings.
