Tashkent resident Jamilya Olimboeva stated that she lost her family home due to a dispute involving the man who was supposed to become her husband and blogger Sanjar Karimov (Real Sanjik), writes Podrobno.uz.
According to the girl, she met a man named Shahzod at the beginning of 2023, and the wedding was set for September 2024. But a month before the wedding, Shahzod said he had financial problems and proposed to borrow money through his acquaintance Sanjar Karimov. As collateral for the debt, house documents were temporarily signed at a notary.
However, it later became clear that this document was not a collateral, but a house sale agreement. Realizing the situation, the girl and her family tried to resolve the issue, but Shahzod fled abroad, and the house was transferred to Karimov's name.
The family contacted Karimov's office, but he referred to the legality of the documents and the debt notes as justification. After that, the case was handed over to law enforcement agencies, and the house was temporarily removed from sale.
In 2025, Shahzod was detained in Dubai and extradited to Uzbekistan through Interpol. However, the criminal case is being conducted only against Shahzod, while Sanjar Karimov is not considered a suspect in the case.
In his statement, Karimov said that he did not know this family before, that he bought the house for $240,000, and that all family members became familiar with the documents at the notary and agreed. He considers himself deceived as well.
Karimov's wife also commented on social networks, saying that her husband was innocent and expressing sympathy to Jamilya. According to her, Sanjar was also deceived by Shahzod.
The public reaction was mixed. While many supported Jamilya, comments such as "Return the house" and "Fear God" appeared on Karimov's pages.
