A young man from Yangiyul exposed for deceiving people under the pretext of selling cheap iPhones

A citizen (initials I.Yu.) born in 2005 and living in the Yangiyul district of Tashkent region was exposed for deceiving people under the pretext of selling cheap iPhones, reports Tashkent Today.

According to the investigation, he posted fake advertisements on the OLX platform and created about 10 fake accounts on Telegram under female names. He approached various individuals, collected advance payments from people under the pretense of selling cheap iPhones, and then cut off contact.

It was revealed that using this method, he committed eight similar crimes in the districts of Nurafshon, Ohangaron, Ortachirchiq, Yukorichirchiq, Buka, Qibray, and Tashkent. The victims were ordinary people seeking to purchase inexpensive gadgets. The damage caused is considered significant.

In connection with this incident, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 168, Part 3, Clauses "b" and "g" of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan (large-scale fraud committed repeatedly or using electronic means).
