
Five underage children from Uzbekistan who were left unattended in St. Petersburg, Russia, have been returned to Uzbekistan.
"With the assistance of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan, the repatriation of five compatriots left without parental care in Russia has been ensured," the official statement said.
This event was held in cooperation with representatives of the Ministries of Internal Affairs and Health of Uzbekistan.
The children were previously placed in social rehabilitation centers for minors and the Transit Social Shelter in St. Petersburg.
The working group sent by Uzbekistan has prepared all the necessary documents for their return to their homeland. The Consulate General provided the children with repatriation certificates free of charge.
The children were brought to Uzbekistan by a plane on the St. Petersburg-Tashkent route, accompanied by responsible officials.
