According to the press service of the Department under the Prosecutor General’s Office, the smuggling of psychotropic drugs has been uncovered. Employees of the Kuvasoy city branch of the Department under the Prosecutor General’s Office, in cooperation with representatives of the State Security Service and the Department of Internal Affairs, conducted a special operative operation.
During the operation, the smuggling of psychotropic drugs was detected in the territory of Gulpiyon Mahalla Citizens’ Assembly. It was revealed that the medicines had been sent through a water pipeline passing from Kyrgyzstan.
Law enforcement agencies found 233 pieces of the potent drug “Tropicamide” that had been brought through the pipeline. A criminal case has been initiated under the articles of Uzbekistan’s Criminal Code regarding “Smuggling” and “Manufacture, distribution, advertising, display, or illegal circulation of potent substances.”
Currently, investigative measures are ongoing to identify the individuals who were supposed to receive the smuggled products in the territory of Uzbekistan. Read “Zamin” on Telegram!
