In the Zaamin district of the Jizzakh region, a mother was forced to pay alimony in place of her son. According to the Bureau of Compulsory Enforcement, citizen S.A. was required to pay alimony for his child in favor of his former spouse by court order. However, he did not fulfill this obligation, resulting in a debt of 15 million soums.
As a result of the measures taken by the Bureau of Enforcement, the debtor's mother paid off her son's debt at her own expense.
"That day, two women - a mother and a daughter-in-law - came to the district office of the Bureau at the same time. "The mother wants to pay off her son's debt, and the daughter-in-law wants to receive alimony for her son," the official statement said.
This situation once again reminds us that non-performance of alimony obligations is not only a legal, but also a human responsibility.
