In Kyrgyzstan’s Manas district, an unexpected and shocking incident occurred on November 8. A 19-year-old girl bit off the tongue of her 26-year-old boyfriend during a kiss.
According to Kumar Botokaraev, director of the Jalal-Abad Regional Clinical Hospital, the man was brought in with a serious injury.
“The patient had the tip of his tongue and part of his lower lip bitten off. A surgical operation was immediately performed, and the damaged areas were restored. He is now being treated in the maxillofacial surgery department. The tongue can be reconstructed. In my practice, this is the first time such a case has occurred during a kiss,” the doctor said.
According to the police, the victim is 26 years old, and the girl is 19. Before the incident, they attended a friend’s wedding and had consumed alcohol.
Investigators stated that during the kiss, the girl bit the man severely, injuring his tongue and lip. Both are mentally healthy and were in a conscious state during the event.
The investigation department of the Manas District Police has launched a criminal case and appointed a forensic medical examination. The investigation is ongoing.
