
In the Namangan region, participants of a wedding motorcade were held accountable for gross violation of traffic rules, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
During the inspections, it was established that 50 drivers performed drifting movements, went in the opposite direction, and posed a danger to vehicles and pedestrians. Some drivers recorded these incidents on video and spread them on social networks.
According to the court's decision, 25 drivers who committed the most serious violations were deprived of their driver's licenses for one year and fined 25 times the basic calculated amount.
The remaining 25 drivers were fined 5 times the BRV - 2 million 60 thousand soums.
Internal affairs bodies announced that strict measures will continue to be taken to prevent dangerous driving in wedding processions and to address such situations that endanger the lives of citizens.
