Information has spread that a young man from Fergana was detained at the St. Petersburg airport in Russia and that serious pressure is being exerted on him. A Facebook user under the name “Farhod Temirtirnoq” writes that the young man, born in 2002, was stopped when he was about to board the plane, and that a watch had been placed into the pocket of his jacket. After that, he was accused of theft and detained.
According to the information, because it was a weekend, there was no possibility to provide him with a lawyer or an interpreter. At present, the young man is being held in a temporary detention center for migrants in Petersburg, and no legal assistance has been provided to him.
The Facebook source emphasizes that a trial will be held on Monday, and it is said that he has already been offered two options:
either imprisonment for up to 5 years, or giving consent to participate in the war in Ukraine.
As additional heavy information, it is mentioned that the bodies of four more of our compatriots who died in the war have been brought to the villages of Elash and Ghushtqishloq of the Uzbekistan district of Fergana region.
