The next tragic traffic accident that occurred in Jizzakh has alarmed the public. On November 23 in the morning, at around 08:10, a sorrowful incident happened on the “Jizzakh–Gallaorol” highway passing through the Amir Temur MCG.
According to the information of the Regional Traffic Safety Department, the driver of a Matiz, born in 1998, attempted to overtake the vehicle moving ahead of him, crossed into the oncoming lane, and collided heavily with a ZIL-130 truck coming from the opposite direction.
The impact had severe consequences: the Matiz driver and two passengers in the car died at the scene. Although rescue and medical teams arrived quickly after the accident, it was not possible to save their lives.
Regarding this situation, the Investigation Department of Jizzakh city Internal Affairs has initiated a criminal case under Article 266, part three, sub-paragraph “a” of the Criminal Code. Investigative procedures are ongoing.
