During a control operation conducted by the employees of the "Fergana" border customs post of the Fergana Regional Customs Administration, a large quantity of pyrotechnics was discovered. This was reported by the press service of the Customs Administration.
A Labo car driven by a citizen entering from a neighboring country was subjected to customs control in the prescribed manner. During the inspection, it was discovered that there was a specially made hidden compartment in the car's trunk.
A total of 26,556 units of 2 types of pyrotechnics produced abroad were found in the hiding place. It was noted that their total market value is 62 million soums.
Due to the fact that these products, concealed from customs control, were imported illegally, they were duly registered as material evidence.
Currently, an investigation is underway in connection with this situation. Officials emphasize that strict measures will be taken against such cases.
