A heartbreaking incident occurred in the Bukhara region. After her husband said that he intended to marry another woman, a woman with two children suffered a severe emotional shock and attempted to harm her own and her children's lives. The incident was recorded on March 9 in the Yuzon neighborhood.
First, she threw her older son into a small canal, and then, holding her younger son in her arms, jumped into the water. Alert passersby quickly rescued the children — the elder was immediately pulled out of the water, and the younger was taken out together with the mother. Both children were taken to the hospital, and it was reported that they did not receive serious injuries.
According to the press service of the Supreme Court, a criminal case was initiated against the woman under Article 97, part 25, clause 2 of the Criminal Code — “Attempt to kill two or more persons in a helpless condition.” As a result of the trial, she was sentenced to four years of imprisonment.
The incident once again reminded how far family conflicts and psychological pressure can push a person. The public reacted to this tragedy with pain and emphasizes how important it is to seek help in such situations.
