Regulations regarding the dispensing of medications in Uzbekistan are being intensified! These measures aim to enhance treatment safety and protect public health.
Main objectives and changes
- Safety comes first: Most essential medications will now only be dispensed with a doctor's prescription. International practices also confirm the importance of this approach.
- Electronic monitoring: In certain regions, an electronic prescription system is being piloted. This system will be gradually implemented nationwide.
- Limiting unnecessary medications: This new control system is designed to restrict cases where doctors prescribe excessive or unjustified medications to patients (polypharmacy).
- Preventing haphazard treatment: Medications must only be taken under medical supervision. Taking medications without oversight poses serious health risks.
Note: At the initial stage of any new system, technical issues may arise. The pilot phase has been implemented specifically to identify and address such challenges.
These updates represent a significant step towards improving the quality of medical care, preventing the misuse of medications, and most importantly – ensuring the maximum safety of your treatment.
