In the Mirzo Ulugbek district of Tashkent, a 57 year old man tragically killed his 77-year-old mother while intoxicated. This was reported by the Tashkent city courts.
The incident occurred as a result of intoxication and a family dispute. The man repeatedly struck his mother with his arms and legs, as well as pressed on her neck, causing mechanical asphyxia. The injuries consisted of rib fractures, brain injuries, and bleeding.
According to the investigation, one of the aspects that caused the discussions between the man and his mother was the sale of the apartment and the man's plans to move to Russia. His mother refused to make this decision, which led to a family conflict.
During the trial, the defendant only partially admitted his guilt, but said that he remembered only part of the incident. However, the examination, witness testimony, and investigation materials confirmed his guilt.
The court ruled that the man was sentenced to 15 years in prison. His sentence was to be served in a general regime colony. They were also recommended for compulsory treatment for alcohol addiction.
