A serious and tragic incident related to gas poisoning occurred in the Khojeyli district. On December 13, 2025, three people died in an apartment located on Fakhriyar Street in the Samankol neighborhood of the district.
According to preliminary information, citizen A.J. lived in a rented house with his two grandchildren. In order to heat his house, he arbitrarily cut the chimney of the homemade heating stove and moved the stove to another room. After that, he illegally connected this stove to the gas network without a chimney.
This situation has led to serious consequences. As a result, citizen A.J. and his grandchildren - A.S. (grader of 8th grade), born in 2011, and A.Q. (grader of 4th grade), born in 2015, died at the scene.
Currently, law enforcement agencies are conducting a pre-investigation check on this fact. Also, official investigations have begun against the responsible persons.
It was reported that the Khojeyli district administration is providing the necessary social assistance to the families of the deceased. Additional information about the incident will be published later in the media.
