Author of video mocking YPX sentenced to 7 days in prison

In the Surkhandarya region, strict measures were taken against a citizen who recorded a video discrediting road patrol service officers and distributed it on social media. This was reported by the press service of the State Traffic Safety Service.
According to the information, a resident of the Denau district recorded traffic patrol officers performing their official duties on January 9, 2026. Later, he edited the footage by adding insulting audio and comments and posted it on his personal Instagram page. As a result, the video damaged the honor and reputation of the inspectors.
According to the officers, the video was viewed more than 2.5 million times within a short period. The comments were filled with insults and offensive remarks, which intensified negative sentiments among the public. “In the comments, harsh words were left both about me and my parents. If stricter measures are taken, it will serve as a lesson for others,” said one of the inspectors.
During the court hearing, the offender fully admitted his guilt. He stated that he posted the video solely to increase the number of subscribers and expressed regret for his actions.
By court decision, the citizen was sentenced to 7 days of administrative arrest under the article of the Code of Administrative Responsibility that предусматривает the distribution of photo and/or video materials aimed at discrediting law enforcement officers.
It should be noted that similar cases have occurred before. In the Kashkadarya region, a person who distributed videos to discredit a traffic patrol inspector was also sentenced to 7 days of administrative arrest. In addition, in the city of Tashkent, a criminal case was initiated against a young man who dragged a traffic patrol officer on the hood of a car.
Furthermore, in another case in Surkhandarya, a female driver who insulted traffic patrol inspectors, recorded them on video, and posted it on social media was sentenced to 4 days of administrative arrest.
Specialists urge citizens to act responsibly on social media and to remember that insulting or discrediting officers performing their official duties leads to legal liability.
